Description
The Plant Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the plant, ensuring efficient production, high equipment reliability, workplace safety, and compliance with applicable standards. The role involves leading plant teams, improving operational performance, controlling costs, and driving continuous improvement.
Requirements
BSc/Diploma in Metallurgy, Mineral Processing, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
8–10 years of experience in plant operations.
At least 5 years of experience in supervisory or managerial roles.
Strong leadership and people-management skills.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Proven ability to improve plant performance and productivity.
Knowledge of plant operations, equipment reliability, and process improvement.
Understanding of safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Knowledge in fabrication is an added advantage.Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and supervise overall plant operations and production activities.
Monitor plant performance, productivity, throughput, and operational efficiency.
Minimise downtime through effective maintenance planning and equipment management.
Lead, motivate, and supervise plant staff to achieve operational targets.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
Drive continuous improvement in processes, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
Coordinate with Engineering, Maintenance, HR, Finance, and other departments to support smooth plant operations.
Prepare and monitor operational reports, budgets, targets, and performance indicators.
Promote a strong culture of safety, accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
