Join us in building a sustainable and responsible mining future. We are seeking an experienced Environment Manager to oversee regulatory compliance, environmental procedures, and health, safety, environment, and community relations across our operations.
Requirements
Certification (Mandatory): Must hold a valid Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager's Certificate of Competence issued by the Minerals Commission.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, or a related discipline. Masters is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 6–8 years of progressive experience in environmental management within the mining or heavy extraction sector.
Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of local environmental laws, Minerals Commission regulations, and international standards.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in environmental impact assessments, audit protocols, waste management systems, and regulatory reporting.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, stakeholder management, community relations, and cross-departmental communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Manage and enforce company-wide environmental compliance standards and regulatory procedures.
- Lead HSEC oversight to maintain high safety, environmental, and local community standards.
- Coordinate with regulatory bodies to secure necessary mining permits and approvals on schedule.
- Monitor operational impacts and implement sustainable practices across mining sites.
